Meteoric grows team and welcomes new recruits

B2B marketing agency continues to grow with people working part-time in line with its values

Meteoric Marketing, the growing B2B marketing agency, is welcoming two team members to the business to manage the firm’s expanding client base. Lynne Morris and Ashton Smith will both work remotely and part-time to help deliver brilliant campaigns and add some ‘oomph’ to marketing for clients. They both join existing team Angela Brown, Nicolette Moodie (who also works part-time) and Megan Derbyshire along with retained comms specialist, Katy Turner.

North Yorkshire-based Meteoric acts as a virtual marketing team, providing strategic and hands-on marketing support to business-to-business (B2B) companies that in many cases are looking to grow but don’t have the in-house resources. Existing clients include regional companies PKF GM, Hatmill and Consult Red.

Lynne Morris joins Meteoric as Digital Project Manager, where she’ll be responsible for coordinating multiple projects across a growing client base and helping founder Angela Brown grow and scale Meteoric Marketing.

Lynne joins from Ember Technology, a development and consulting company specialising in user research, design, development, deployment and operation of Software as a Service (SaaS) systems. Before that, she was marketing manager at Cohesion Digital, a digital e-commerce agency.

Meteoric founder, Angela Brown, says: “As any scaling business knows, growth isn’t always easy! Lynne’s appointment is a game-changer for us and means we can put solid foundations in place for the next chapter of growth.”

Also joining Meteoric is Ashton Smith, an International Business (BA) Graduate who has studied at the University of Valencia and more recently completed a sixth-month Marketing and Business Development internship at Sidley Austin LLP, a multinational law firm. He’ll be working as an intern two days a week while continuing his studies. He will work alongside Meteoric colleagues to help deliver marketing campaigns and activities across all our clients.

Remote, part-time and flexible working

Both Lynne and Ashton join the existing Meteoric team as remote, part-time employees. One of the firm’s values is ‘One team’ where ‘we look out for one another and support one another to help balance demands both inside and outside of work.’

At Meteoric, we don’t think that people’s ambition, drive or desire to have a fulfilling career needs to stop because life happens.

Meteoric founder, Angela Brown, says:

“As a working mum myself, I’ve been fortunate enough to juggle home and continue a career, although it’s not always been easy. We all have other things going on, other things that matter, things that deserve our time and energy.

There are countless examples of people who ask employers to work flexibly, yet get turned down. Many big organisations won’t let people work less than four days a week. Others want people physically in an office. I’m passionate about building a business and creating a culture where people can work genuinely flexibly.’

Growing agency

Meteoric is actively recruiting to fuel its next chapter of growth and is looking for experienced marketing managers and account managers who might want more flexibility.

Angela Brown adds, “But it’s not all about part-time; we know people are at different stages in their lives and want to work full time. So we can be flexible and support that too!”
