The challenge

Consult Red were in the midst of a rebrand and wanted a new website to clearly articulate their ability to deliver connected devices and systems (aka IoT), whilst supporting their long-held market-leading position in the media sector as developer of set-top boxes for some of the world’s leading pay TV brands. The website was to be launched at the same time as the rebrand.
Our goal was to deliver a website that:

  • Positioned Red as a product-development partner for companies across all sectors looking to make their product ‘smart’
  • Created a great user experience
  • Attracted more potential employees to work for Red
  • Supported current brand-building efforts and future lead-generation campaigns

Action

Working with Unbranded Digital, we:

  • Held a workshop to clearly understand the objectives and success factors
  • Developed the design of the site
  • Working with Red, we drafted copy and optimised content for SEO
  • Tested and launched the website to be rolled-out together with the new brand

The website was custom developed on the WordPress CMS platform. It featured interactive elements on the homepage which visually depicted the process of the business. The website was also built with speed in mind and is lightning fast to load and interact with.

Result

consult.red has been a great success so far both internally and externally and has increased website traffic since launching.

  • Within the first month traffic to the site had almost tripled
  • Red started ranking for new, non-branded search terms they hadn’t in the past
  • People spending longer on the site, looking at more content

We are now building on this solid foundation to improve SEO, rankings and editorial content.
